We have officially entered the month when I join the Sassy Seniors Circle! I probably shouldn't be shouting this out for all the world to hear, but here we are 😆😄😄

Anyway, it's not for a couple more weeks yet, but I'm excited for the first of my 60th celebrations and wanted to share that excitement with you. I tend to celebrate birthday month so early parties are not unusual for me.

I'm sure you're aware by now (if you've been following along; if not, 'Hi!'), that I'm currently holidaying with family overseas. And to be celebrating my 60th with my family, was definitely not something I foresaw at the beginning of this year. It was an unexpected, but not shocking, trip to South Africa that brought many blessings to us. 

I'll be sharing cake and other treats under the trees for my first celebration and I couldn't think of a better way to begin my sixties. It's a time in life when I feel self-assured in exactly who I am and what I'm about. I've done a lot of soul-searching to get there and I honestly believe that writing has helped tremendously. It's just like journaling for me, except that the whole world gets to see my thoughts too 😄😄 The difference, though, is that I'm not a fan of daily journaling- am I the exception to the norm I wonder?

On that note, as a soon-to-be Sassy Senior, I want to take you along on the journey with me, especially, but not exclusively, for those of us who are also nearing, or in, the same circle, because, ALL of my books pertain to Sassy Seniors, and as you might know, my mantra is, and always will be:

Self-love is the greatest beauty of all

Never in vanity; always in gratitude. And herein lies my fabulous book news 🎉🎉🎉

I invited my Facebook followers last week, to indicate which of my books they would like to see discounted for the month of June as my gift to you, dear readers. The perfect choice for Sassy Seniors celebrating self-love was chosen unanimously! As an extension of my memoir, EN ROUTE, I published a booklet of En Route Affirmations, and that was the one that was selected for discounting. 

En Route Affirmations only comes in paperback booklet size for the very reason that you get to write your thoughts in the blank pages provided after each affirmation. Remember how I said I'm not a fan of daily journaling? Well this booklet feeds that preference, despite its subtitle. My manuscript for A Dangerous Liaison, a romantic suspense, is well underway and I am dead keen to finish it by the end of 2026 for an early to mid 2027 publication date. Thank you to my fantastic early readers for feedback and guidance for best readership outcomes.

Book three in a Midlife Romcom Series, Friendship & Fun (and romance undone) is waiting patiently for editing on my return from my overseas holiday which still makes it on track for an end of 2026 publication! YAY 🎉🎉
